Carping Mad5! (the final part of the trilogy)
Spug’s back for the final time as the trilogy comes to its conclusion. There is of course, of load of UK carp upto 46lb, but that's only half the story! Surely, he’s grown up a bit now and the silliness has ended? It appears not! The first part of the book documents his time working at Gillhams Fishing Resort in Thailand. There was absolutely no way that Thailand wouldn’t be without any incidents, but we’re sure you won’t believe some of the things that happened! After Asia he returns home to continue his carp fishing, working life, ongoing dating disasters, general mis-haps and of course his love of all things heavy metal and especially, Iron Maiden. Along with the funny stories outside of fishing, there’s also a few nice fish too! Three Norfolk forties, a load of thirties, a 300lb tuna caught off the Cornish coast, a 350lb arapaima, 120lb Siamese carp to name but a few. But it’s Carping Mad5! Right? So, the idea is to have a laugh along the way and not take life too seriously. We’ve had to put another 17-age certificate rating on it, you’ll see why if you read it! Is it really that bad though? Well only you can decide that, as the final chapters of the Carping Mad books are about to unfold…….

If you have read the other two books, you pretty much know what’s coming, but if you haven’t, I’ll give you a clue. This book, like the other two, has a load fish in it, but it also documents everything else that has happened along the way (inside and outside of fishing) some great things, some not so great things, life’s struggles, dating disasters etc, all written in a way that hopefully makes you laugh!
The whole idea of the books was to do something different to normal carp fishing books. Different fish, different venues, different types of stories, including one man and his friend’s journey through life’s ups and downs. Dare to be different, as they say.
This book is not suitable for the under 17s or over 150s, the politically correct, virgins, woke warriors, or those without a sense of humour.
Little promo video I put together!
